Spiritum Belgarum - Echoes of The Ancient LandSpiritus Belgarum - Echoes of the Ancient Land is a cinematic orchestral album inspired by the ancestral spirit, sacred landscapes, and spiritual traditions of the Belgae tribes of ancient Gaul.As a continuation of the album I Am Belgae, this work shifts the focus from personal identity to collective memory -- the land, the forests, the stones, and the unseen forces that shaped a people long before borders existed. Drawing inspiration from sacred groves (nemeta), ancient forests such as Arduenna, and the deities once honored through ritual and oral tradition, this album explores the enduring relationship between land, spirit, and belonging. Though rooted in a specific culture, the music speaks a universal language, inviting listeners to reconnect with their own sense of origin, memory, and place. Spiritus Belgarum is not a historical reconstruction, but a musical invocation -- an echo of what remains when time moves on, and the land remembers. |
